Listing on BiteScout is free. It takes a few minutes and puts you in front of locals who are looking for what you already make.
Most food apps are built for venues that can afford to advertise. BiteScout is organised by distance, which means a home kitchen in Greenacre shows up ahead of a chain twenty kilometres away.
No fee, no commission on orders, no lock in contract. Your listing stays up whether you ever spend a cent or not.
You appear in the local feed for people whose suburb is near you, sorted by actual distance.
A hero photo plus a gallery, your signature dish, menu items with prices, and a description in your own words.
Set hours for each day. The app shows customers whether you're open right now, so nobody turns up to a closed door.
See how your listing is doing and edit anything about it from inside the app, any time.
Optional paid lift to the top of the feed for 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. For launches and busy weekends.
Install the app, sign up with your business email, and choose the Business Owner account type when prompted.
Business name, what you make, and where you're based. We check each one by hand so the app doesn't fill up with duplicates.
You'll get a notification when you're in, usually within 48 hours. The Owner Dashboard unlocks at that point.
Add photos, hours, menu and description, then publish. You're live in search and on the map straight away.
If you'd rather talk to a person before downloading anything, send your details through and we'll walk you through it.
You can also email us directly at bitescoutsupport@gmail.com.
Home kitchens, market stalls, food trucks and shopfronts are all welcome.
Download the app and choose Business Owner to get started.
